You might be able to find many churches and spiritual organizations in your area, but there are often many sects of popular religious like Judaism and Christianity that can make it difficult for you decide exactly which church group is right for you. When you look up religious organizations in your online directory, you will need to know a few questions to ask them so that you can find a group that shares your beliefs, values, and world view of history, politics, and faith. When you contact the groups, ask them what religion or spiritual group they are associated with. This will help you determine if they are Jewish, Christian, Mormon, Evangelical, Catholic, Latter Day Saints, Protestants, non-denominational, or if they have another theology that they value. Ask them if they have charity 501c3 status. This will let you know that the religious organization is a charity that contributes to the community. You might be able to make contributions to the Christian or Jewish community organization and take them off your taxes. If you are thinking about getting married, then you might be able to use the value of your marriage ceremony as a contribution to the church group. Ask them if this is possible for you. When you find a group that is involved in teaching your beliefs and faith, you can often learn a lot about your religion, so be certain that you have chosen a group that represents your view of the world and you will be closer to finding a place you feel at home.
